Privacy policy
Who we are
Outlier is an independent Android fitness tracking application. It is not affiliated with any corporation. For any privacy-related questions, contact us directly at the address listed at the bottom of this document.
Data we collect
Local storage (no account)
While you are not signed in, all fitness data you enter (body measurements, workout history, training sessions, personal statistics and app settings) is stored exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your device.
Cloud storage (Google sign-in)
The App offers an optional feature to sign in with your Google Account. If you choose to sign in, the following data is synced to our secure cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore) so that it is preserved across reinstalls and devices:
- Body measurements (weight, height, circumferences, body fat percentage)
- Workout history and training sessions
- Personal statistics, scores, levels and percentile rankings
- App settings and preferences
This data is linked to your Google Account user ID. We do not store your name or email address in our database.
Usage analytics
The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data. This includes which screens and features are used, session duration, device type, OS version and country or region (not precise location). This data is aggregated and anonymized. It does not include your fitness measurements or personal statistics.
You can opt out via: Android Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Notifications
The App may send local push notifications (workout reminders, streak alerts and similar). These are generated entirely on your device. We do not collect any data about whether you open or interact with notifications.
Data we don't collect
- Your name or email address
- Precise location data
- Payment information
- Data from advertising networks
- Crash reports or diagnostic logs
Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

| GOOGLESign-In | Account authentication | policies.google.com/privacy |
| FIREBASEFirestore | Cloud data storage | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
